Alice Marie Yancey, the inspiration for Grocery Hop.

Our story

Our personal experience of caring for a loved one inspired our decision to start Grocery Hop.  In 2013 we lost our beloved Mom, the matriarch of our large family.  Her love of family and community was apparent by all that knew her, always giving and caring for those in need.  Her battle with Alzheimer’s/dementia led to her limited ability to fulfill her own basic needs.  Being the close family we are, we worked together to ensure she was taken care of, just as she would have done for any of us.
